About Nightingale Youth Theater
Nightingale Youth theater is a Christian youth theater program in San José, CA. Our goal is to provide youth ages 12-18 the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and perform in quality, age-appropriate shows within a safe, loving, Christian environment.
NYT values creating excellent shows with Jesus as the center of our inspiration in rehearsal and performance. The Production Team encourages students to give their best into their roles – no matter how big or how small.
Further, Christian youth theater provides a context to experience the incredible impact of high quality performance in a faith-based community for students, families and theater-goers.
NYT’s Theme Verse:

I was extremely impressed by the professionalism of these young directors! They managed a cast of 33 youth, ages 9 to 17, with great patience, grace, and just the right amount of firmness when needed. They worked to put forth and excellent production on a small budget. The directors made it clear from the start that although excellence was a goal, the main focus was to create a space where the kids could grow and feel encouraged and supported, and where they could use their gifts to bless others and glorify God. The Sound of Music as their debut production was very well done, and one would think these young ladies have been producing shows for a lot longer! Nightingale Youth Theater Company is a beacon of light in the Silicon Valley and it will be great to see how they continue to flourish as a group!
